Professional Development

We are committed to helping our people learn new skills and develop their abilities so they can advance and thrive within the company. This is done through a number of programs to ensure employees get the most out of their careers. Our Professional Development Program provides eligible employees up to $1000/year to participate in courses that enhance their skills. These include but are not limited to: professional conferences, continuing education courses, Management/Leadership training, etc.

Community Support

Volunteer Days: Full-time employees enjoy 4-paid volunteer days per year so that they can give back to the community with their time. Fact: If every employee took advantage of the program and volunteered 32 hours/year, we could donate over 2,500 hours! Plenty of good can be done with that number.

Employee Donations: To continue our efforts of community support, Take Flight Group has committed to matching employee donations of up to $1,000 for any Canadian registered charity. We encourage our employees to make charitable donations and to submit their receipts to HR. Take Flight Group will gladly match all donations.

Take Flight Group also supports the following charities:

  • Calgary Interfaith Food Bank (through raffles at our Corporate Christmas Party)
  • Movember
  • Canadian Cancer Society (through company head shaves)

By supporting these charities, employees gain a better understanding of our communities; the challenges they face and the ways in which we can best support them.

Group Benefits

Our benefit package is really good. We subsidize the cost of our benefits plan by 90%, which includes health care, flexible drug plan, dental and vision benefits, long term disability and life insurance.

Employee Assistance Program: This program provides professional counseling and support to employees who may need to resolve issues that affect their performance at work.
